We asked Brian a few questions about what it's like to work at Amphenol Network Solutions and learned just how dedicated he is to our customers!
What three words would you use to describe our culture?
Customer service centric
What do you like most about your role? What is the most challenging?
My favorite part about my role is working with my customers. The most challenging part of my role is growing the Canadian business and balancing customer desires with our capabilities. The Canadian dollar value vs. US dollar value can also create challenges, but overall growing the Canadian sales is a pleasure!
What are three career lessons you've learned thus far?
The first career lesson I've learned is the willingness of the Amphenol team to work together to coordinate the custom solutions for our customers. Second, this is the first time that I am not the president, corporate leader, or administrative building leader in decades...I appreciate the perspective of functioning as a teammate/colleague/contributor vs. leader of the entire team. The third lesson is the unique technical knowledge base associated with the solutions we provide.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates?
Love your customers!
What is your proudest moment at Amphenol Network Solutions?
In August of 2017, customers provided input and adjustments showing how versatile Amphenol actually is that it eventually led to some of the first C2LINX orders, it was a very unique time. The same thing happened with the C2E fiber distribution solution when customers and the Amphenol Team worked together to create the cable clamp solution that met the needs of the customers.
What is your hometown and what activity, restaurant, or landmark would you suggest to someone visiting?
For the best dinner in Noblesville - Matteo's in downtown Noblesville for the filet. Noblesville's Ruoff Home Mortgage Concert Venue is the most popular site historically...we love a great concert! And Morse Reservoir in the summer out on the lake for a great day of boating and sun.
What is your personal philosophy?
Love your customers, take care of them like they are on a Hawaiian vacation, and enhance every contact with Amphenol possible. Treat the customer with the Spirit of Aloha with care and respect, and support them in any way possible.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Be with my family!
